Guatemala Airport is called Guatemala City La Aurora International Airport in full. A few years ago, Guatemala's national airport has undergone major renovations and now disposes of the modern Terminal North.

The airport is situated 6 kilometers south of the center of Guatemala City. There's no train connection with the airport. Every 30 minutes buses maintain the connection between the airport and Guatemala's capital. The airport is also easily reachable by car, via the Avenida 6A.

Following the renovation, the airport offers a large number of restaurants, (snack) bars, and coffee shops. The shopping area was also extended, with for example a large duty-free shop and many souvenir shops. There's a VIP lounge (Presidents Club). The business hotels in the city offer extensive business services and the possibility to rent meeting and conference rooms. Other facilities at Guatemala Airport include banks, exchange offices, ATMs, a post office, a pharmacy, and several travel agencies.
