Helsingborg is a port town in Sweden with an attractive, historical center. One of the attractions is the tower of the medieval fortress Kärnan. The city also has an extensive range of shops; Helsingborg was the first Swedish city making the central shopping area solely accessible for pedestrians.

Helsingborg is located in the south of Sweden, on the narrowest part of the Sont, the strait separating the country from Denmark. On the other side of this narrow strait lies the Danish Helsingør. Malmö lies over 60 kilometers southeast of the city.

The port also plays an important role; passengers and goods are transported daily from Helsingborg's port to Denmark and vice versa. The airport Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport is situated about 35 kilometers northeast of the city center. It can be reached in half an hour by rental car. From the city center you first take the Ängelholmsvägen and then the freeway E20/E6 to the airport. The way to the airport is clearly signposted.
The ferry terminal Helsingborg C is also called Knetpunkten ('junction'), as it literally is the junction of all public transport in Helsingborg.
