General information

San Sebastián is a city in the Basque Country in Spain and is located on the Bay of Biscay at only 20 kilometers from the French border. National and local trains depart from Donostia Station. San Sebastián is connected by train with for example Barcelona Sants and Madrid. There are, however, also night trains to Paris and other parts of Spain. Only local trains run from San Sebastián's other station, Euskotren Station.

Transportation

Do you want to explore this historical city with its beautiful beaches? There's a taxi stand in front of the station. You can also continue your journey by public transport. San Sebastián's city buses (D-Bus) stop in front of the station. These are lines 24 (Altza-Antiguo) and 17 (Centro-Amara Anoeta). There are also regional buses to for example Hondarribia. It's also a good alternative to continue your journey by rental car; an ideal means to explore this magnificent region. You can find a branch of Europcar at the station. In the city you have several possibilities to rent a bike.

There are restrooms and luggage trolleys at the station. There's also an information desk where you can get information about the city. If you have ordered your tickets via the internet, you can go to a desk inside the concourse to pick up your tickets. There are also ticket machines.

Restaurants and shops

Inside the concourse there's a cafeteria where you can eat and drink something. If you are looking for reading materials you can go to the bookstore.

Opening hours

San Sebastián Train Station is open on weekdays from 5.30 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on weekends from 6.15 a.m. until 11 p.m.
