Car Rental Viareggio Train Station

General information

Viareggio Train Station is located in the Tuscan province of Lucca, on Italy's west coast. The station which is situated in Viareggio's center on the Piazza Dante was inaugurated in 1936. It's an important junction for onward travel to cities like Pisa, Florence, Livorno, La Spezia, Genoa, Parma, Milan and Lucca. The four covered platforms are connected by a pedestrian underpass. The station has monitors showing the train times. Track 3 is used for trains to Pisa Central Station, and tracks 5 and 6 are used for trains to and from Florence via Lucca. Tracks 7 and 8 are used for trains to and from Lucca.

Transportation

Do you want to go to Viareggio's beach or visit the beautiful surroundings? You can find taxis and several buses on the square in front of the train station. Do you prefer to drive yourself? You can easily rent a car in Viareggio. There are sufficient parking facilities nearby.

You can buy tickets at a ticket office or from ticket machines. The station also has a railroad police and there are facilities for the disabled.

Restaurants and shops

Viareggio Train Station has a cafeteria and a kiosk. If you need to change and have time available, you can find the beach at walking distance (15 minutes). You'll find the Via Fratti and Via Battisti with several shops in the immediate vicinity and there's also a large supermarket nearby.
