Car Rental Frankfurt Train Station

General information

Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof is the central station of the German city of Frankfurt. It's Germany's busiest station after Berlin and one of the most frequented stations in Europe. The beautiful building which dates from 1888 is situated in the center of Frankfurt.

Transportation

If you don't continue your journey but want to explore Frankfurt, you can find taxis in front of the station. You don't need a reservation. City buses, which run through the entire city and its surroundings, can be found at the bus station on the south side of the station on the Mannheimstrasse. Streetcars stop in front of the main exit. The U-bahn and S-bahn depart from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Tief, a subway station which lies underneath the station. You'll find the entrances underneath the northern part of the station. Follow the signs 101-104. If you prefer to rent a car in Frankfurt, you'll have plenty of choice at the station. You'll find the car rental companies Advice, Sixt, Europcar, and Hertz in the Reisezentrum of the Deutsche Bahn (DB).

Services

There are luggage lockers for both hand luggage and larger pieces of luggage. The station also has an information desk and a travel agency. All facilities are present for the disabled. In addition, the local Tourist Information has an information desk at the station.

Restaurants

The station offers a wide range of places to eat and drink. For those who like coffee there's a Starbucks, but the large hamburger chains are also represented. There's also a sushi bar and a German bar with traditional food and beer.

Shops

Frankfurt Station is a good place for shopping. You'll find a shoemaker, a flower shop, a dry cleaner's, an amusement arcade, but also gift shops and shops selling tobacco products.
