Car Rental Nimes Train Station

General information

Nîmes is located in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The city center lies at about a kilometer walk from Nîmes Train Station. You can easily walk there by walking in a straight line from the station and crossing the park. The station dates back to 1845, and is called at by the TGV lines Bordeaux–Dijon and Lille-Toulouse. The historical city center still shows that the city played an important role in Roman times. The Maison Carreé is considered the best preserved Roman temple in all of Europe.

Transportation

Do you want to explore the city or the region? You can find taxis in front of the station 24 hours a day. You don't need a reservation. City buses stop opposite the station on the Avenue Feuchères. All bus lines in Nîmes stop here. Regional buses stop behind the station at the bus station. There's also a shuttle service between the station and Nîmes Airport. Or do you want to explore the beautiful surroundings? You can easily rent a car in Nîmes. The car rental companies Avis, Hertz, and Europcar are present at the station.

Services

You can buy train tickets at ticket offices and ticket machines. Inside the concourse you'll find an information desk, which also functions as a lost-and-found desk. The station has a Wi-Fi hotspot, a police station, restrooms, phone booths, ATMs, several snack dispensers, and a passport photo booth.

Restaurants

Inside the concourse there's a takeout restaurant called Paul. Here you can buy sandwiches and something to drink. If you have more time and you want to sit down for dinner, you can leave the station and cross the road. On both sides of the Avenue Feuchères you'll find a bar/brasserie.

Shops

There's a Relay kiosk which sells newspapers, magazines, and books. Opposite the station, on the corner of the street, there's a Tabac. Here you can buy tobacco products as well as the above-mentioned articles.
