Car Rental Avignon TGV Train Station

General information

Avignon is located in the department of the Vaucluse in France where you can also see the famous Mont Ventoux in the distance. Avignon TGV Train Station lies on the Méditerraneé high-speed train line. From Avignon you can for example travel via TGV lines to Paris Gare de Lyon, Lille Europe, Nîmes, Marseille St. Charles and Lyon. The station was inaugurated in 2001 and is situated approximately 2 kilometers south of Avignon's center. The design of the concourse looks very much like a cathedral. The concourse appears bright and spacious because of the glass roof.

Transportation

The station offers many possibilities for onward travel in the Provence or the Cote d’Azur. Or do you prefer to stay in Avignon or its surroundings? Buses and taxis are available at the square in front of the station. The taxis are maintained by TAXI Avignonnais (Tel. 04 90 82 20 20). You also have several possibilities to rent a car in Avignon. The car rental companies are located directly next to the station. Take the southern exit and go towards P2. Outside the station you'll find parking places to drop off passengers. Parking here is free up to 20 minutes. There are also parking lots around the station.

Services

Avignon TGV Train Station has an AED and Wi-Fi is available. There's also a special service for the disabled. In addition, there are elevators and tactile floor markings. If you have lost your luggage you can go to Avignon Center Station. It's best to take a taxi. The station offers several places to eat. There's a bar and a restaurant by OH Poivrier. You can also buy sandwiches at Pains à la ligne.

Like many French stations, Avignon TGV also has a Relay kiosk. Here you'll find a large selection of literature and related products.
