The documentation sent was incorrect

The documentation sent was incorrect in TWO respects We had booked a larger car so I had to ring to establish that correct size car would indeed be awaiting pour arrival. It was The documentation stated pick car up in car park i.e. suggesting booking desk would be there.Nowhere on paperwork did it state booking in at "Avis" desk in arrivals. Again only established this after ringing up from parking garage. Paperwork needs to be more explicit.

La Palma Airport annually processes about a million passengers, but that number is expected to grow in years to come, which is why the airport is currently being expanded: a new control tower will be built, the runway will be renovated and a new terminal will be added. The work will be finished in 2010, at which time the airport will have a capacity of three million passengers a year.

The airport is located eight kilometres from the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma. There are bus services every 30 minutes to the capital via Mirador, Salinas and Cancajos.

There are no hotels at the airport. It is a small airport: there are two (snack) bars and there is a restaurants. In addition, there are also a few shops. Keep in mind that the Canary Islands have a separate status, which means the there are restrictions with regard to the export of alcohol and tobacco. The Taburiente Room offers facilities like fax, telephone and computers with Internet connection. The room, which can accommodate 25 people, can be rented. There are cash machines and there is a children's play area. The airport is accessible to disabled people.
