General information

Limoges Bénédictins Train Station is the largest station of the city of Limoges in France. It's situated in the center on the park Jardin du Champ de Juillet. The station was named after the Benedictine monastery which was present in Limoges until the French revolution. The current station was inaugurated in 1929 and has a distinctive 60-meter tall clock tower. It has been named the most beautiful station in all of Europe. The TGV line Lille Europe – Brive la Gaillarde stops in Limoges. The intercity Bordeaux – Lyon and some regional railroad lines also pass by the station.

Transportation

Do you plan on staying in Limoges and do you want to visit the city or its surroundings? Taxis and city buses are available. City buses all pass by the bus station on the Place Léon Betoulle; here you can change to regional lines. Do you prefer to rent a car in Limoges? You'll find two car rental companies inside the concourse, Avis and Europcar; they are open by appointment only. When renting a car you can indicate at what time you'll pick up the car. Directly in front of the station there are parking spaces to pick up and drop off passengers. You'll also find a paid long-term parking facility nearby.
